What to Expect in Your First Visit…
Patient Forms Online or In-Person
You will be greeted with a friendly smile and welcomed as a member of our family. We will request that you complete our patient forms unless you already filled them out online. This paperwork explains your health history and the necessary information on the reason(s) why you needed to be seen by Dr. Pat.
Consultation
Next, you will have a consultation with Dr. Pat to discuss your health-related problems, concerns, and potential treatment options. This initial visit affords you the opportunity to be thoroughly and completely heard by Dr. Pat. This will give Dr. Pat a chance to hear you out and decide if he thinks he can be of service to you. In today’s fast-paced world, it is rare that a Doctor or medical staff has the time to listen and treat you like a person and not just a number. This visit is for you and you will be taken care of like a family member like you deserve.
Examination
After your consultation, Dr. Pat will perform a complete physical examination to include but not limited to: orthopedic, neurologic, vitals, video postural analysis, digital foot and body scans, fitness analysis, and a computerized brainwave examination.
X-Ray Studies
Depending on your specific condition, Dr. Pat may order X-rays. Dr. Pat is very thorough in his assessment of all examination findings and the X-rays give him a look inside to see if there is any damage, abnormal wear and tear, or any contraindications that need to be identified before rendering any treatment. X-rays don’t lie. The X-rays also help determine the appropriate treatment is administered as well as the length of time it may take to correct the initial problem.
Report of Findings
Once the information is collected and examinations are performed, Dr. Pat will give you a detailed report of all findings on the very next visit and answer any questions including:
Can you help me?
Will the treatments hurt?
How often do I need to come in?
What will my treatment cost?
Has my condition been successfully treated before?
After reviewing your health history, your health goals, and your examination findings, Dr. Pat will discuss his recommendations and will notify you if your condition requires care with other healthcare providers. Then, the decision will be yours as to what you would like to do. It truly is your body and your choice.
Treatment
At the conclusion of this appointment, you will be given the choice to start care immediately. There is one guarantee, if Dr. Pat thinks he can help you, he will do his absolute best to take care of you and achieve the health goals you desire. If he does not think he will be able to help you, he will refer you to the healthcare professional that will give you the results you are looking for.
Wellness Program
Every person desires to be healthy and well. Being healthy takes work. We understand dental health so we will use this to make a comparison to total body health. If you go to the dentist with tooth pain, he or she will do an examination and then explain what the problem is and offer treatment options. If you need a root canal, then you set up an appointment and follow up appointments to take care of the main issue. Once that is taken care of, the dentist will then recommend you brush and floss and make some appointments for healthy check ups to make sure you stay well. That is exactly what Dr. Pat will do once the initial problem(s) has been taken care of. He will recommend some home care to include posture stretches and exercises just like brushing your teeth and then set up some appointments for check ups to make sure you stay well. That is what is best for you and better than always needing root canals or lengthy Dr. Patrick Kennedy visits to take care of a health crisis. But, the final decision is always yours.
